Those who are 55 and older are invited to attend the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Volunteer Recruitment Fair on Friday, Sept. 10, at the Springfield Senior Center, 701 W. Mason St.
It will be held in conjunction with the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. Drop-by hours are 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Representatives from a wide variety of not-for-profit and government organizations will be set up in the Senior Center's program room and front lobby with displays and handouts. The organizations that will be in attendance for this Sept.10 event along with their volunteer needs will be listed in the Sept. 8 Senior Lifestyles section.
