A. A neurosurgeon quite simply is a doctor that uses his or her hands to directly treat conditions that cause disability, pain or threaten to shorten the life of a patient by causing dysfunction of the brain or spine.

DR. MICHAEL JONES: The evolution of man has taken us from an ape-like creature walking on all fours to a fully upright and standing position walking on two legs. However, with the onset of desk jobs and day after day computer work, we have transformed back into a beast hunched over a keyboard for 8-10 hours a day while at work, and then we head to our homes only to sit some more and watch TV or play on our computers or smart phones.
